I began dancing at the age of seven and quickly developed a deep passion for it. As a Juvenile, Junior, and Amateur competitor, I trained with numerous teachers across the country, each contributing to my growth and love for the art.
In the early 1980s, I competed in the National 10 Dance Events with the now principal of CDC, Phil Meacham, gaining valuable experience and pushing my skills to new heights.
At the age of 16, I achieved a significant milestone by placing 6th in the prestigious Open British Championships Under 21s at Blackpool, a moment that remains a highlight of my competitive career. By 19, I decided to turn professional, completing my teaching qualifications and beginning a journey that has now spanned decades.
Teaching has become my greatest joy, and I take pride in working with dancers of all ages and abilities. Whether coaching beginners taking their first steps, guiding medallists through examinations, training competitors to succeed on the dance floor, or simply sharing the joy of social dancing, my goal has always been to inspire and support others in their dance journey.
Dance has been a lifelong passion, and I cherish every opportunity to share its magic with others.
